Below are some questions non-believers ask. Maybe some of these questions are on your mind as well.
Questions & Answers
First hell is real because Jesus talked about it. Jesus talked more about hell then he did heaven. He said it is a real place and it is a place of torment for eternity. Jesus knows more about it than anyone in this world. Hell would have to be real because of logic and fairness would demand it. Think about all the evil that have been done in this world over many generations by evildoers in this world. If God would allow those crimes to go unpunished it would mean that God is not a good judge and would not be worthy of our worship and love.
If you broke the law in this world and went in front of a judge, the judge says I will let you slide this time, wouldn’t that make him a bad judge? The judge is to uphold the law when people break the law. Since God is a good judge, he simply cannot ignore the ones who broke his law. Secondly, why would God send anyone to hell if he is a loving God? The answer is simple, he does not send anyone to hell. The decision is made when we reject God’s love. Imagine for a moment that you have two doors in front of you. The door on the left leads to heaven and the door on the right leads to hell. If you choose to walk out the door leading to hell you do not have anyone to blame but yourself.
The Bible tells us that God does almost everything possible to keep us out of hell. He loved us so much that he came to earth and died on the cross to pay for our sins, so we do not have to go to hell. He wants to set us free and give us forgiveness. God made us in his image and gave us the power through free will to say yes or no.
If we choose to reject God here on earth, then we are at the same time choosing to spend eternity separated from Him in hell. When you choose to live your earthly life without God, God says “I don’t want you in my heaven for eternity”. The good news is you do not have to go to hell because God made it possible for you to go to heaven. Open your heart to him and repent of your sins.
Some have asked “What about the person living in the jungle somewhere who never heard about God or Jesus?” Biblically speaking, God is holy, just, unchanging, and all loving. This means that God will always do what is right. This question falls into God’s revelation. Theologians divide God’s revelation into special and general.
Special revelation includes the Bible and Christ. These are both direct and special means of God revealing himself to us. General revelation consist of what God has revealed of himself by the natural world and moral conscience. Romans 1:20 tells us, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”.
Romans 2:15 tells us “Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)”.
Romans 1:20 and Romans 2:15 claims that everyone has an inherit knowledge of God, this can be clearly known from creation and that everyone also has a God given moral compass.
Christianity is heavily involved in missionary work abroad. Missionaries focus is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ so, those who do not know about Jesus can have the opportunity. Those who live in jungles will get to hear about Jesus and the decision there after is up to each individual to make.
God will be fair when dealing with those who have not received a direct presentation of the Gospel, just as he will also deal fairly with those who have. What about you? Who do you say I am? (Matthew 16:15, Mark 8:29, Luke 9:20)
Have you ever heard the following statement?
“All religions lead to God”
This might sound good but, simply is not the truth. It would be like saying all roads lead home. When speaking of Heaven and the one true God there are only two roads. The road that is going towards God and one that leads away from God. Jesus said himself in John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”.
Jesus is the way into Heaven and Heaven cannot be reached without Jesus. Other religions therefore cannot possibly make a way for you to enter Heaven because they either claim Jesus was a prophet, he did not exist, or he never dies on the cross. It is ultimately your choice on what you choose to believe in the end. Ask yourself these two questions.
Question #1
If your right and we are wrong what do you have to lose?
Question #2
If we are right and your wrong what do you have to lose?
You see, heaven is a perfect place and that means only perfect people get to go there. If not-perfect people were allowed in, it would not be perfect anymore. Well we do not know about you, but many of us stopped being perfect a long time ago. So, God came up with Plan B. He came to earth in human form, Jesus Christ, and He lived a perfect life and now He offers to let us go to heaven on His ticket. And we pray that you will trust Jesus Christ and stop trying to bat a thousand — because you ended up not doing that a long time ago. Accept God’s free ticket through Jesus Christ.
Bible scriptures are quoted from the King James Version
Since we believe in the truth, we are going to give you the truth. The truth of the matter is simple. The truth is you were made by God and made for God. Life is not going to make much sense until you fully understand that. When you finally come to this question in your life, you really have only two options.
Option No. 1:
You could seek others to find out your purpose, read books about looking inward to find your purpose, or even attend every seminar in the world related to finding one’s purpose. Why would you waste your time and energy when the fact is most people do not even know what their own true purpose is?
Option No. 2:
Skip the useless nonsense and go directly to the one who Created you. Since God created you, getting to know God by reading the Bible and prayer will allow you to discover his purpose for your life. Begin your journey today by getting to know God.
You need to understand God to really answer that question. The Bible says, God is love. It does not say he has love but, he is love. Love is part of his nature, character, and being. Love is not worth anything unless you bestow it on something. You were created as an object of God’s love. This is why you are breathing, and your heart is beating. You were made to be loved by God and bring him pleasure.
When you think about it you have three options when it comes to who Jesus Christ is. Considering that Jesus claimed to be God many times during his life on earth that means he can only be one of the following. He is who he says he is. He was the biggest liar in human history. He was crazy or a lunatic.
Jesus did not expect people to believe him or take him at his word. Jesus proved that he said who he was by dying on the cross, being buried, and then coming back to life after three days. That event changed history, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Since then every person refers to Jesus Christ regardless if they believe in him or not.
Think about every time you write a date, A.D., or B.C. The reference point is Jesus Christ. His life was the event that split history. Who do you say he is?
God could have made us to love him back but, that would be forced love and that would not be true love. Love is a choice and since you have a choice to love you also have a choice not to love. That in itself is the nature of evil: evil is choosing not to love. When God gave us the freedom to choose, he gave us a blessing but, also gave us our greatest curse as well.
Evil is in the world not because of God, but because he gave us the freedom of choice. Love outweighs evil because evil will exist for a short time and love will last forever. All the suffering and all the death that we see in the world today are because mankind has chosen to make wrong choices. We hope that you choose to love God with your freedom of choice.
This is a question that many people ask and for some it is a stumbling block. The easiest way to look at this question is to look at Gods nature and his desire for mankind. God loves each one of us and wants us to love him back. How could we love God back unless we have the freedom not to love?
You might have heard someone say, “There are no absolutes.” You must ask yourself is this statement even logical? Is there any right or wrong?” Because when people say, “There is no right or wrong, or it’s wrong for you to impose your morals on me,” think about it. By them telling you that, they are imposing their morals on you. We all inherently know right from wrong. We just have the tendency to disregard it especially when it conflicts with our desires for pleasure or personal gain. You could justify having an affair, but you would not condone your spouse having one. You could also justify taking something without permission, but if someone robbed you, you would not think that is ok.
Those who claim there is no right or wrong have their own moral conscience, they have just set their own standards. Here is the best way to determine right from wrong. Simply turn the situation around on yourself. Jesus said it best, “Do unto others as you would want done unto you”. We all know that murder and rape is absolutely wrong because we would not want it done to us. A person who says there is no right or wrong would not agree that rape or murder is ok. When you turn it on yourself you realize that even inside us God has placed a moral conscience that tells us to do right when we are doing wrong. When we violate our conscience, we need forgiveness. That is why the Bible tells us that God sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.
